General Guidance
Before requesting a custom quote, please review our strict trade-in criteria:
- Fly Fishing Rods & Reels Only: We do not purchase conventional tackle, waders, boots, apparel, or fly-tying tools and materials.
- Graphite & Fiberglass Only: We love the history of the sport, but we do not currently buy bamboo rods.
- Fully Operable: Gear must be in 100% fishable condition. We do not accept broken blanks, missing pieces, or seized drags.
- Factory-Produced & Original: We do not accept custom-built rods or reels (even if rolled on a premium blank). We also cannot accept rods that have been permanently personalized with names or custom sayings.
- Shipping Size Limits: Due to prohibitive freight costs, we cannot accept 1- or 2-piece rods, or any Spey/two-handed rods with tubes exceeding 46 inches in length.
Older & Legacy Models
We focus on circulating current and recent-generation gear. If your specific rod or reel model is not listed in our brand selector above, we likely do not purchase it. This includes famous legacy models (e.g., Sage XP, SLT, or older Winston and G. Loomis series).
Excluded Brands
We do not currently purchase gear from mass-market or entry-level brands, including: Redington, TFO, Echo, Pflueger, St. Croix, Fenwick, White River or any brand not featured in our main search tool.
You confirmed your gear meets our trade-in requirements.
