Few things rival the feeling of a trout-shaped depth charge erupting beneath your fat foam chubby or hopper as it drifts through a run. But trying to cast those big wind-resistant bugs with just a standard 5-weight can be a tough proposition - especially if the wind is also being resistant. Consider sizing up to a 6-weight set up to make the most of those precious few days with big bugs on the water.
