Sage Igniter 691-4 - ROD1390

Punching wind-resistant streamers tight against cut banks or driving long casts into a stiff coastal breeze demands blazing line speed and uncompromising power. The Sage Igniter 691-4 6-weight, 9' fly rod delivers ultra-fast action performance, pinpoint accuracy, and exceptional line control for demanding freshwater and light inshore saltwater fly fishing. Designed for anglers who need to carry extensive line in the air and turn over bulky payloads with laser-sharp loops, this setup excels when stripping streamers for predatory brown trout, pounding bass structure, or targeting bonefish on shallow flats. Equipped with an integrated fighting butt, the 691-4 configuration provides the added leverage needed to control powerful fish in heavy current.

Handcrafted on Bainbridge Island, Washington, this fly rod incorporates Sage KonneticHD Technology, featuring a high-density composite carbon fiber matrix that optimizes the graphite-to-resin ratio. This material architecture eliminates lateral blank vibration, tracking straight and transferring casting energy efficiently along the entire blank. Finished in an eye-catching Chipotle blank color with Cayenne wraps and Gunmetal trim, it features Fuji ceramic stripper guides, hard chromed snake guides, and a gunmetal anodized aluminum up-locking reel seat with a hidden hook keeper. A Flor grade full-wells cork handle paired with an EVA fighting butt ensures superior grip and comfort during long casting sessions.
